Proof of Accommodation
Return or onward (to other destination) flight
$100 per day is suggested
Although $2000 over the past 3months in bank account is a no-hassle to go through immigration
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required. You do not need to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccine or negative PCR tests to clear immigration.
- Medical Exams: Not required. Regular tourists coming for leisure do not undergo any physical or medical checkups at the border.
- The SATUSEHAT Health Pass: Mandatory. While COVID-19 rules are gone, travelers on Reddit point out that Indonesia requires an online health screening form to monitor infectious diseases. You must fill out the health declaration via the All Indonesia Portal - Arrival Card (check document links) within 72 hours before your departure to generate a mandatory QR code
But, strongly recommended
Things to know
Key Application & Technical Pitfalls
• Passport Issue Date Glitch: The online system can sometimes default the passport issue date to the current application date rather than your actual issue date. Double-check this field carefully; if it defaults wrong, it can lead to rejection and force you to re-apply and pay again.
• File Format & Naming Case Sensitivity: The portal can be very strict about file formats and extensions (such as .PDF vs. .pdf). Upload exact image/document formats as requested to avoid system errors.
• Official Website Only: Apply only through the official portal at evisa.imigrasi.go.id to avoid third-party agency markups or scam sites. (Note: Some official-looking private aggregators charge massive service fees).
• Separate Applications for Children: Infants and children require their own separate e-VOA applications and full fees—they cannot simply be added as dependents to an adult's form.
Arrival & Immigration Reality
• E-Gates vs. Counter Queues: Having an e-VOA may allow you to use the self-service e-gates at airports like Bali (Ngurah Rai International), which can dramatically cut down your wait time compared to the physical Visa on Arrival (VoA) counter. However, depending on arrival rushes, e-VOA/immigration queues can still range anywhere from zero wait up to 1–2 hours.
• Mandatory Digital Arrival Card: In addition to the e-VOA, you must complete the electronic customs/arrival declaration via the All Indonesia Platform within 72 hours before your flight and save the QR code.
• Bali Tourism Tax: If your destination is Bali, you must pay an additional regional levy of IDR 150,000 per person via the Love Bali Portal (check document links)
• Passports with Chips: Some Reddit users note that having a modern e-passport with an active chip makes smoothing through automated e-gates much more reliable than older non-chip passports
